New 3D colour printer from Arrk at NMW 2007

Supplier News

The key benefits of the new ZPrinter 450 3D colour printer will be highlighted by Arrk on stand 5014 during National Manufacturing Week 2007 at the Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre, from May 22 to 25.

The ZPrinter 450 is said to be one of the low cost 3D colour printers on the market.

According to Arrk, the release of the ZPrinter 450 makes it feasible for companies to bring rapid prototyping colour printing in-house.

With a claimed printing speed five times faster than any other system, Arrk says the ZPrinter 450 is ideal for supporting an entire engineering department or classroom with its ability to output multiple models in hours instead of days.

Colour is also a critical benefit to many designers and engineers, as it better conveys design intent, with reproduction of packaging colours, logos and even tiny print, to provide a prototype that is close to the final product, eliminating the element of surprise.

For a leading shoe manufacture, the purchase of a Z-Corp printer significantly improved its efficiency and reduced its spending.

According to Arrk, a prototype that once required a week to receive from a bureau now takes 90 minutes, which allows engineering and marketing employees to collaborate more often and more closely.

For the last 14 years Arrk has introduced technologies that reduce the time-to-market for new product development. Through its manufacturing expertise and global capacity, Arrk offers a complete full-line service, including the distribution of 3D printers, and manufacturing of quality prototypes, production tools and moulded parts for a wide range of industries.
