This merger, the company notes, will unite two highly respected companies operating in the areas of surveying, planning, metrology, 3D laser scanning and engineering.
The merged company will henceforth operate under the Lester Franks brand, though it will be business as usual for all 3D Spatial operations.
The merger will enable 3D Spatial to provide:
- a broader and deeper range of services to meet client needs across Australia
- a commitment to ongoing innovation across existing and new markets; and
- greater support and resources available Australia wide.
"With nine offices located throughout Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Queensland, the Lester Franks network provides a strong platform to expand our 3D-scanning and metrology services around Australia," he added.
Mr Herath further noted that the company has relocated to a new 400sqm facility located in Port Melbourne.
"Our new Melbourne facility will feature a dedicated metrology lab with greater capacity to perform onsite scanning and dimensional inspection of vehicles along with other large items in a secure environment," he said.
3D Spatial has also had the privilege recently of being admitted to the DMOSS panel (Defence Material Organisation Support Services), which it is anticipated will further enhance the company's presence in the defence services sector for the supply of 3D laser scanning, industrial metrology, surveying and design services.
