A comprehensive range of dimensional measurement services utilising a wide range of 3D Laser Scanners includes Reverse Engineering, Dimensional Inspection, High Definition As built Surveys.
Features of 3D Laser Scanners
Utilising a range of 3D Laser Scanners for various applications, 3D Spatial is able to accurately capture spatial information of objects ranging in size from:
- Miniaturised components
- Cars
- Boats
- Aircraft
- Buildings
- Industrial Power and Process Plants
Using 3D Laser Scanning Technologies, 3D Spatial provides the following services:
Reverse Engineering
Using 3D Scan data is the most efficient way to generate a CAD model from a physical object that contains complex or freeform shapes. This process enables the client to obtain CAD data that accurately matches the as built part available in a range of CAD formats.
Dimensional Inspection
From 3D Scan data allows parts or tools to be analysed to show deviations compared to as designed CAD models or alternatively to other parts to identify manufacturing defects and perform GD&T analysis. Dimensional Inspection is also commonly used for calibration and verification of tooling and fixtures.
High Definition As Built Surveys
Utilising the FARO Photon Laser Scanner collects extremely large volumes of highly accurate photorealistic spatial information which is in turn used for visualisation and analysis or translated into accurate 3D CAD models for documenting the asbuilt environment for applications such as Oil and Gas, Power and Process Plant, Marine, Architectural and Heritage scenarios.
