German manufacturer WITT-Gasetechnik is introducing a new range of ready-to-use dome-loaded pressure regulator sets designed to set a higher benchmark in pressure stability.
WITT’s dome-loaded pressure regulators are already known for being enormously pressure-stable, and are impervious to system pressure and withdrawal fluctuations. The latest version will consolidate WITT’s position as a technological leader. Thanks to its dome-loaded pressure regulators for line installation, WITT is regarded as one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-quality gas pressure control technology.
A precise and stable working pressure is imperative in these pressure regulators. Product Manager Andreas Heyer explains that a design modification to the newly integrated control pressure regulator has ensured an almost complete compensation of supply pressure and outlet fluctuations, enabling users to rely on constant conditions in the gas supply at any time.
According to Heyer, the control behaviour is extremely stable, even with extremely high or low flow rates within the performance range. That means WITT dome-loaded pressure regulators, proven for their ease-of-use and flexibility, also ensure the highest process reliability.
Unlike spring-loaded pressure regulators, dome-loaded pressure regulators are operated by gas pressure with the so-called control gas monitored via a separate control pressure regulator. WITT’s control pressure regulator can be used to increase or reduce the gas pressure at any time, as soon as another working pressure is required.
Heyer comments that the control module is now fully integrated into the housing in all the latest models, allowing the system to be more compact, robust and maintenance-friendly. New materials for seals, diaphragm and threaded joints have also increased the weather-resistance for outdoor installations, allowing for a temperature range of -30°C to +50°C.
WITT supplies its dome-loaded pressure regulator sets as fully assembled units complete with control pressure regulators and pressure gauges. WITT offers a self-contained, safe and ultimately cost-effective solution that also avoids releasing control gas into the environment.
The new sets are already available with dome-loaded pressure regulators of types 737, 747, 757, 767 and 772.
Key features of the new WITT dome-loaded pressure regulators include casings made of brass, and also in stainless steel (with the exception of the 767); high flow rates to Kv value 30 (Cv value 34.8); inlet pressures to 300 bar (4350 psi); and working pressures from 500 mbar to 45 bar (7.25 to 650 psi).
