AUSTRALIAN Internet of Things developer Quantify Technology has agreed to a merger with Cape Range.

Quantify Technology is creating the tools and technologies to enable IoT on a global scale and packaging them cost-effective, easy to use devices, with the aim of accelerating IoT take-up.

According to Quantify Technology, their devices would help create a framework for deploying emerging technologies of the Internet of Things. Key parts of the modular framework have been patented in Australia and over 140 countries.

Because the framework is modular, Quantify Technology says early adopters will be able to take advantage of a wide ranging suite of products, solutions and production – particularly important as standards governing IoT emerge and change on a regular basis.

Quantify Technology says its devices, unlike many other IoT technologies, do not require dedicated devices acting as communications hubs or gateways. Instead, they provide a seamless communications solution for all connected devices.

The Quantify Technology Framework utilises standards based communications over a wide range of wired and wireless formats to ensure future interoperability and the core control and reporting API will be available for application developers and partner products.

The merger with Cape Range, Quantify Technology’s founder Mark Lapins claims, will provide the business with an efficient and effective corporate structure on which to execute its strategy to become an internationally significant “Internet of Things” technology developer and supplier.
