World-leading vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturer Yingli Solar has achieved a unique milestone of crossing 10 gigawatts (GWs) of cumulative solar module deliveries worldwide.
When fully operational, the total power generated annually by Yingli's deployed PV fleet could power an estimated four million average homes, equivalent to nearly one fifth of China's total residential power consumption in 2013 (based on the assumption that 1 megawatt of Yingli modules will produce 1.2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity each year).
Additionally, the solar modules will offset approximately 6.8 million tons of carbon emissions when compared to conventional coal generation, and which is equivalent to planting more than 340 million trees.
Mr Liansheng Miao, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yingli Green Energy expressed his gratitude to their loyal customers, supportive business partners, and talented employees around the globe.
