Xchanging Procurement launches MM4 in Australia

Business process, procurement and technology services provider, Xchanging plc has announced the formal launch of MM4 in the Australian market.

Acquired in September 2013, the eSourcing technology company brings to Xchanging’s procurement business a proprietary Software-as-a-Service technology platform, providing industry-agnostic procurement eSourcing, company and market intelligence, and dedicated customer support.

The MM4 solution provides procurement professionals with value-added sourcing insight. The advanced technology platform combines diverse 24/7 supplier and auction management support from procurement experts (MarketMaking), integrated company intelligence to aid supplier discovery/profiling, and relevant market insight to calibrate expectations and appropriate timing.

Aimed at Australian customers across all industry sectors, especially in the manufacturing, retail, FMCG, aerospace, textile and finance industries, MM4 is a tool that can be used by all organisations buying goods and services from external suppliers.

Chirag Shah, MM4 Co-Founder and Chairman said that the current procurement community in Australia is keen to take advantage of global sourcing, especially from other APAC markets such as China, Korea and Indonesia; MM4’s team of multi-lingual MarketMakers and easy-to-use software are at the forefront of helping buyers bring cost reduction benefits to their organisations.

MM4 is already being used by Xchanging as a tool to support its work with existing clients in the Insurance and Higher Education sectors in Australia, helping to streamline the sourcing process, remove administrative workload and drive market pricing for goods and services.

Norbert Krebs, General Manager for Xchanging Procurement Services, Australia comments that their focus on driving technology-enabled, collaborative procurement solutions within the Australian market enables them to match demand with supply at multiple levels from strategic sourcing, through contract management, to everyday procurement.
