Worker's arm trapped in factory accident

A man at a Minto tyre factory had his arm caught in a rolling machine and was flown to Liverpool hospital last night.

AAP reports that the 48-year-old man had his whole right arm stuck in the machine, and paramedics and CareFlight went to the scene after 7 pm.

“The 45 minutes it took to release his full right arm from the rolling machine the ambulance paramedics and CareFlight doctor worked to stabilise him," CareFlight’s Ian Badham told the ABC.

The worker was cut free by NSW Fire and Rescue officers, and Liverpool Hospital staff were trying to save his arm.
