WEARABLE motion analysis device developers dorsaVi will acquire Australian Workplace Compliance in a bid to drive OH&S market expansion.

dorsaVi is a Melbourne-based company which provides wearable sensor technology called ViSafe that captures and quantifies aspects of human movement outside of a biomechanics lab, with applications in the clinic, in sport analysis and workplace safety.

Australian Workplace Compliance provides OH&S operational and procedural analysis, supporting the development of strategic compliance and risk mitigation solutions to a variety of clients in industries including manufacturing, outdoor adventure and logistics and distribution.

dorsaVi says the $120,000 acquisition will enable it to offer clients a comprehensive suite of solutions, including ViSafe, to help reduce incidents and the severity of workplace injuries.

As part of the acquisition Australian Workplace Compliance founder Mark Heaysman will lead dorsaVi’s OH&S and compliance division. If his employment ceases within 12 months, dorsaVi will sell the company back to him at cost.
