Global logistics and shipping provider, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) has acquired the SRO Group Vehicle Manufacturing Division (SRO Manufacturing).
The acquisition will enhance WWL’s technical services offerings in Australia providing additional value to existing and prospective customers for equipment assembly and processing.
SRO Manufacturing provides product solutions relating to the customization of service vehicles, trucks and heavy construction machinery. Customised solutions can be for service bodies, truck trays, toolboxes and safety equipment.
In supporting the industrial sector, designs that focus on safety are key drivers. Many products delivered by SRO Manufacturing are deployed on mine sites today.
WWL’s national presence allows customers the opportunity to have access to these specialised services in local markets. Together with the company’s existing offering of equipment processing and accessorising services, the acquisition of SRO Manufacturing will extend WWL’s offering of factory to dealer solutions for customers, cutting lead times and cost.
"WWL are excited about the new specialised services we can offer. It will allow us to explore new and innovative ideas to provide our customers greater value in Australia” Rob Lord, WWL’s Regional Director for Oceania said in a statement.
The current SRO Manufacturing site based in Newcastle, Australia, will become WWL’s specialised centre for customised solutions and advanced accessorising services in Oceania.
