ULVAC to launch new HELIOT 900 Series leak detectors

ULVAC has released a new range of leak detectors delivering improved evacuation capability and usability for faster leakage testing in various industrial environments.

Helium leak testing is a proven method of testing leaks using helium gas as it provides higher sensitivity than any other leak test method and enables fast and accurate testing, even for minor leaks. Leak detectors are used to locate leaks and measure the amount of leakage during helium leak testing.

Helium leak testing is a very popular method of leak detection in a wide range of industries including production lines for various piping components, electronic devices, air conditioners, chillers, and automobiles, as well as food and drug packaging, and medical equipment.

ULVAC specialises in leak detectors, which are sold under the HELIOT brand. The HELIOT 710 Series has now been upgraded to the brand-new HELIOT 900 Series.

Key features of HELIOT 900 Series leak detectors include improved helium evacuation capability of 5 L/sec, which is two to three times higher than competing models in the same class; tablet-type controller in the form of a 7-inch capacitance touch panel as a standard feature; advanced mobile cart to ensure safe movement; improved user serviceability with easily removable service panel; and interchangeability with existing models to enable smooth transition.

The HELIOT 900 Series leak detectors range

The Portable/901 model is suitable for stationary installations and consists of two models: HELIOT 901W1 equipped with an oil-sealed rotary vacuum pump, 30 L/min; and HELIOT 901D2, equipped with a scroll dry pump, 90 L/min.

The Mobile/904 model is a cart-mounted version with ease of mobility to support large workpieces. The two models include HELIOT 904W2 equipped with an oil-sealed rotary vacuum pump, 135 L/min; and HELIOT 904D3 equipped with a scroll dry pump, 250 L/min.
