Ringfeder Power Transmission GmbH announces the acquisition of Neunkirchen-based Tschan GmbH for their shaft coupling technology. Tschan’s acquisition is in alignment with Ringfeder Power Transmission’s existing product portfolio.
Founded in 1922 in Krefeld as a patent commercialisation agency for friction springs, Ringfeder Power Transmission GmbH is based in the city of Groß-Umstadt with its Ringfeder, Gerwah and Ecoloc brands. One of the leading suppliers of high-quality components in the field of drive and damping technology as well as application technologies, and part of the Swedish VBG Group, Ringfeder Power Transmission is synonymous with creating custom-made German-engineered solutions for their customers.
Ringfeder Power Transmission CEO Mr Thomas Moka said they will be focusing on increasing the synergy and efficiency at the Saarland location.
For 90 years, Tschan has been a household name for non-shiftable, mechanical shaft couplings supplying the mining and construction machinery industry as well as the iron and steel production industry, cement works and offshore companies.
Very selective in acquisitions, Ringfeder Power Transmission has been focussed on sustainable growth and developing their product range further. With its four trademarks, Ringfeder, Tschan, Gerwah and Ecoloc, the company is targeting a total turnover of 45 million euros this year.
While the Ringfeder and Ecoloc brands are taking the lead globally in the areas of locking and damping products, the Gerwah trademark represents non-shiftable, elastic couplings and safety couplings for lower torques.
