The Premier’s Sustainability Awards, Victoria’s most prestigious sustainability awards program invites members of the public to participate by casting a vote for the People’s Choice nominations.

By visiting the People’s Choice website, members of the public can vote for their favourite finalist in one or more of the seven award categories. The People’s Choice in each category will be revealed along with the official Premier’s Sustainability Award winners to be announced on Tuesday 22 October.

The People’s Choice does not form part of the official judging of the Premier’s Sustainability Awards, and has been designed for Victorians who care about sustainability to get involved with the awards program.

There are seven LEDified LED home lighting packs valued at $500 each, up for grabs as part of the People’s Choice. Winners will be drawn from the voting public in each category.

Voting for the People’s Choice is now open and closes midnight on Friday 11 October.

Now in their 11th year, the Premier’s Sustainability Awards celebrate efficient use of water, resources and energy, better waste management and recycling practices, the enhancement of the environment and effective, practical community action.

Finalists have been chosen in seven categories: Innovative Products or Services, Infrastructure and Buildings, Education, Environmental Protection, Small and Medium Enterprises, Large Business and Community.

Winners will be announced at the awards night on Tuesday 22 October at Peninsular Shed A, Shed 14, Central Pier, 161 Harbour Esplanade, Docklands. Tickets are available online until Monday 14 October.
