Finnish company Metsä Fibre Oy chose a complete Sepura solution for use throughout its paper mill in Joutseno to improve its communications system. The Finnish company is a world-leading producer of softwood pulp for paper, board and tissue.
Coordinated by Sepura’s Helsinki-based partner, Insalko Oy, the order included STP9 handheld radios, SRG3900 mobile radios and a Solo base station to replace the paper mill’s existing analogue communications system.
The company made this decision following rigorous testing of multiple brands that convinced them of Sepura’s superior coverage and audio quality.
Artur Tynys, Recovery Line Supervisor for Metsä Fibre said that Sepura’s products emerged as clear leaders after several trials, both in terms of the coverage offered and the quality of audio, which was significantly better than the competitors’. Following the installation, the paper mill is extremely satisfied with the performance of the new system, which has markedly improved the quality of communications onsite.
Commenting for Sepura, Lars-Magnus Gustafsson, Senior Business Development Manager for Northern Europe said that the installation proves how Sepura is able to successfully bring the benefits of its complete communications solutions to a demanding industrial environment.
