MICROCHIP Technology announced that David S Lambert, Vice President of its Fab Operations, has retired from the company.

Lambert has been with Microchip since 1988, and has served as VP of Fab Operations since 1993. Prior to that, he was the Director of Manufacturing Engineering, and Engineering Manager of Fab Operations.

According to Steve Sanghi, Microchip President and CEO, Lambert was instrumental in building a world-class wafer manufacturing machine at Microchip, with outstanding employees, cycle times, yield, cost and quality.

Michael A. Finley will now serve as Vice President of Fab Operations.

Microchip Technology provides of microcontroller, mixed-signal, analogue and Flash-IP solutions.
