Makinex, a decade-old maker of construction products, launched its US operations at a trade show in Orlando this month.
Makinex is headquartered in Sydney, and was originally known as Work Smart Equipment. It announced the US launch at the American Rental Association (ARA) Rental Show.
The company’s wares include jackhammers and related products, hand trucks, floor strippers and high-pressure washers.
It expects to make a mark in the US rental and flooring markets, and has cited figures projecting rental market growth of 8 per cent this year to $41 billion.
“Revenue growth for the equipment rental industry continues to be on the rise and we want to be a part of that,” said director Rory Kennard.
The company’s US site puts Makinex forward as seeking to make an “impactful difference in the global construction industry through the provision of truly unique and innovative Australian designed quality products.”
Kennard said, “Our products are unique and differentiated, allowing customers to do their jobs faster, safer and easier.
“They are an asset to any rental fleet, promising a high utilisation rate and maximum ROI.”
