The Institution of Chemical Engineers Safety Centre (ISC) signed up its first Industry Partner, EnVizTec, following the launch of the new member category last month.

ISC director Trish Kerin said that the new Industry Partner category was created specifically for consultants, contractors and equipment suppliers. Based in Malvern East, Victoria, EnVizTec is a provider of technology and services that helps clients improve their process safety performance, making it a perfect fit for this new category.

“The category provides an opportunity for businesses who don’t meet the criteria for Operating Partner, but who nonetheless play an important role in the process safety industry, to be aligned with the ISC,” Kerin said.

“In the six months the ISC has been operating under my direction, it has already signed up 11 Operating Partners.

“These cover the oil and gas and chemical sectors and I look forward to more interest from other organisations as we continue to grow our global footprint and improve process safety.”

EnVizTec managing director Rajendra Avargerimath said that he is delighted to be part of the ISC initiative and is looking forward to collaborating with the network of ISC partners to promote process safety within and across industries.

“We are keen to work with Operating and Industry Partners and explore how organisations can utilise technologies to improve the performance of their safety management systems,” Avargerimath said.

“We share the aims of the safety centre and look forward to making a positive contribution to upcoming important research projects.”

EnVizTec specialises in assisting organisations with their journey to sustainability in the key areas of Quality, Environment, Health and Safety management using leading indicators from their Risk, Hazard, Incident, Audit, Environmental Performance and Compliance Assurance management systems to pursue their continuous improvement initiatives.

EnVizTec works closely with international and domestic oil & gas, mining, utility and process industry clients and is the local distributor of the IHS portfolio of Operational Excellence and Risk Management solutions utilised by over 3000 organisations globally and over 100 organisations across Australia.
