Emeco has appointed Ken Lewsey and its new managing director and CEO.

Lewsey will step in to replace Keith Gordon, who announced his resignation earlier this year.

Lewsey will officially start the role from 4 November, although Gordon will remain at the company for a brief transition period.

Ken Lewsey has around 20 years of leadership experience in the logistics, steel, and mining services industries, and was most recently executive vice president of business development at Aurizon, where he was also the CEO of the Freight Group.

BHP Steel, Brambles, Cleanaway, and Smorgon Steel are also counted amongst his work history.

Emeco chairman, Alec Brennan said the board is "delighted to appoint Ken to the position of managing director".
