Leading contract design and manufacturing company, ESCATEC is celebrating its 30-year milestone as a contract electronics manufacturer of high quality products.
Beginning operations in Malaysia in 1984 with a small team, ESCATEC has grown into a global operation with 1500 staff members worldwide, five manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, and a manufacturing and design centre in Switzerland.
Founder and Chairman Christophe Albin explains that a key objective from the beginning was to make the company different from other EMS companies by focussing on high levels of quality and precision that the Swiss are famous for across the world. Customer focus is also a key differentiator with the company working very closely with customers to become an integral part of their organisation, helping improve designs, suggesting innovations, reducing costs and creating long-term relationships based on trust.
The Swiss-owned ESCATEC prides itself on a very low staff turnover with nine of the original founding team still working for the company.
ESCATEC CEO Markus Walther adds that the business is run like a giant family with staff welfare prioritised throughout the organisation. The collaborative work environment encourages clients to return to ESCATEC with new projects.
