Executive Risk Solutions has won a $30 million contract to provide emergency response and security for the Roy Hill iron ore mine.
The company signed the two year year contract with Gina Rinehart's company earlier this week.
According to ERS managing director Scott Houston, it won the contract "because of its innovation in combining its skills in managing emergency and security operations in remote locations as well as the provision of risk and crisis management services".
ERS has been working with Roy Hill since the project's inception, and also worked alongside its corporate team to develop the operation's crisis management system.
Houston went on to say that the contract will see 65 personnel on site, with 20 specialist vehicles such as Rapid Intervention Vehicles and fire trucks on site.
The combination of these staff and vehicles "will make it one of the largest single emergency response contracts in Australia".
The win is a major event for the company which was created just four years ago, and comes just after it upgraded its fleet of rapid intervention vehicles.
