The Plastics and Chemicals Industry Association’s national conference sessions begin tomorrow, with keynote speaker, MP Bob Baldwin, scheduled to outline the federal government’s manufacturing vision.
The annual conference, themed “Manufacturing Our Future”, will cover politics, policy, the economy, future opportunities and trade/new markets in its first day of presentations.
The following day will discuss the gas market and innovation in its speeches and discussion sessions.
Baldwin, the parliamentary secretary to the industry minister, will speak at 11:15 am on “the Federal Government’s vision for Australian manufacturing, including strategies to drive growth and productivity, remove barriers to innovation, lower the costs of doing business, improve competitiveness and encourage investment.”
According to the CSIRO, the plastics and chemicals industry creates inputs for all but two of the 111 industries in the country.
