Ansell will fully acquire Korean glove maker Midas.
According to Ansell Midas manufactures knitted, cut resistant industrial gloves with expertise in polyurethane coatings and yarn wrapping, and has been supplying Ansell for around eight years.
Ansell stated that the acquisition will bring new capabilities to the company, and accelerate the growth of its HyFlex range.
The Korean manufacturer has plants in South Korea and Vietnam and employs around 300 people.
Following the US$ 41.1 million acquisition of the manufacturer, Ansell CEO Magnus Nicolin said "this represents another step designed to drive Ansell forward, fulfilling our growth strategy of accelerating innovation, developing our manufacturing and sourcing capabilities, and building our leadership position in emerging markets".
