ASG Group Limited (ASG) has entered into an agreement with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) to provide key ICT related services. AMSA is the national agency responsible for maritime safety, protection of the marine environment, and maritime and aviation search and rescue.
ASG’s five-year contract, with a further three-year option will deliver best practice and cost effective ICT to AMSA and support its mission critical search and rescue services. Having arrived at the conclusion two years ago that the Information Technology industry was going to go through a profound change to business solutions delivery, ASG boldly decided to focus on organic growth and developed their unique New World business model.
ASG CEO Geoff Lewis explains that Federal Government customers such as Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) and Australian Transport and Safety Bureau (ATSB) are increasingly considering New World solutions to change the way technology can deliver value to their business.
According to Geoff Lewis, ASG’s cloud based Federal Government Hosting Platform and Managed Services Solution delivering proven savings and efficiencies are key to the success of the partnership. This engagement will see ASG work with AMSA to transform their ICT to a business-outcomes-based delivery model, moving away from the capital intensive traditional services model.
This contract will result in AMSA being in ASG's top 10 customers from a revenue perspective and is expected to make a substantial contribution to ASG's growth in EBITDA in H2 FY15.
