Serial and USB liquid crystal displays


DOMINION Electronics has released Matrix Orbital's latest range of low-cost, easy to program serial and USB Liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. The systems offer a built-in font with up to eight user-defined characters.

They are capable of speed from 1200 bps to 19.2 kbps as well as 255 levels of software-controlled contrast/brightness. Numerous colour combinations are available.

Horizontal or vertical bar graphs are possible and keypad interfaces are available with 12, 24, 25 or 55 keys. Serial graphic LCD displays are also available in the Matrix Orbital range, providing high-speed performance and a user-friendly command interface.

They can download fonts of any size, style or language and create graphics using bitmaps, pixels, lines rectangles and bar graphs. Information can be viewed from a distance and displays are available with extended temperature ranges of -20°C to 70°C.

All Matrix Orbital display solutions are built to plug easily into customer hardware and provide a user-friendly customer interface, saving both time and money in product development and ongoing production.
