Full colour in-house 8" label printer


THE Quick Label Systems division of Astro-Med, represented by Metromatics , has introduced a new full-colour, digital label, tag, and sign printer for in-house use.

The QLS-8100 Xe prints full colour labels up to 8.3 inches in width at speeds of up to five inches a second - an industry first.

The printer, which may be used for small or large quantities, prints directly from a PC and requires no plates or other make-ready materials.

Manufacturers and distributors of large products can use the QLS-8100 Xe to instantly print labels, tags and other flexible packaging with full colour variable information, in sizes up to 8.3 inches wide by 60 inches long, large enough to accommodate most large sized products and product containers.

Previously, full colour labels this size had only been available from commercial printhouses.
