Automation without compressed air

WHENEVER automated valves are required but no compressed air is available, the new Gemu SideStep motorised actuator is the ideal solution for all applications in industrial and sterile processes.

New motorised control and regulating actuator for globe and diaphragm valves.

The actuator is designed for use in process engineering and for operating media supply and can be mounted to metal globe valves as well as plastic and metal diaphragm valves.

A basic version for "OPEN/CLOSED" operation and a High-End version with an integrated position/process control module (PID) are available.

The stable impact resistant high quality plastic housing has a smooth, easy to clean surface and is splash proof and dust proof IP65.

A display with good visibility, background light and ergonomically designed buttons enable safe on-site operation. A code prevents unauthorised or accidental operation.

The display menu guidance and external programming are simple and logical, enabling easy operation despite its multi-functional usability.

Power supply, input and output signals as well as data processing interfaces are connected via solid screwed cable plugs.

The actuator is designed for continuous operation and also has optical position indication with good visibility independent of the electronic system.

24 VDC or 115/230V 50/60Hz power supply versions are available.

RS 232, Web interface, Profibus DP and, in future, also Bluetooth and AS-Interface versions can be provided.

The device can be operated via buttons and/or direct signal.

Actuating power, operating time and travel limitation in both directions can be set.

Automated initialisation with end position programming ensures simple commissioning.

An optional integrated emergency power supply module enables the device to automatically travel to a preselected safety position in case of power failure. A mechanic manual override is standard.

GEMU has launched a new controller for pneumatic process valves. The modular device can be directly mounted to linear and quarter turn actuators via various mounting kits or, in a novel way can be separately installed at a certain distance from the process valve.
