Pressure sensors
OMRON Electronics has released pressure sensors designed to detect very small changes in ambient pressure levels. Applications range from medical diagnostics to white goods, HVAC systems, and industrial control.
The D8M sensor is designed for use in air and similar environments. It has two output options. The D8M-A1 is an analogue sensor with a pressure range of 0kPa - 4.9kPa and an output voltage of 0V dc - 1.25V dc. The D8M-D1 has a range of 0kPa - 5.9kPa. Depending on the model the pulse count output has a frequency from 45kHz to 450kHz.
The D8M-A1 measures 30mm x 30mm x 12.4mm. The sensors accept 4mm (D8M-A1) or 3mm (D8M-D1) outside diameter tubing and have a chemical-resistant plastic (PBT) body. Both sensors are available in pre-wired or PCB mounting form.
