GPS sensor for urban areas
THE IVN GPS sensor, available from Soanar , is suitable for situations where precision navigation is required in all types of vehicles.

IVN GPS sensor for precision navigation in urban areas.
A 12-channel GPS receiver and high-gain ceramic patch antenna are contained within a compact, high-temperature, UV-resistant housing.
The IVN GPS sensor is suitable for navigation in an urban environment, where buildings can block the GPS signals and RF devices such as cell phones can jam the receiver. IVN is optimised for this environment with enhanced filtering and quick reacquisition.
Typical accuracy is better that 2.8m CEP. This accuracy can be improved to better than 1m when differential data is provided in RTCM SC-104 format.
The input power range for the device is between 4.5V dc to 16V dc and the unit requires only 55mA at 12V dc.
The IVN GPS sensor comes with either UBS or RS232 serial interface and is powered via USB port, PS2 port or car battery.
Communication is in the industry standard NMEA-0183 version 2.01 format. This enables IVN to communicate with the majority of digital map applications. NAVMAN binary (compatible with Rockwell and Conexant binary) is also available.
