Card reader handles 17 formats


COMSOL Australia has released a USB 2.0 card reader capable of reading 17 different flash-card formats. The reader supports the majority of available cards, making data exchange between PC and Digital Camera, MP3 or PDA fast and convenient.

Cards supported include SD, Mini SD, SD Ultra II, MMC 1, MMC 2, RSMMC, MicroDrive, CF I, CF II, CF-Ultra II, CF-Extreme, MS, MS Pro, MS Pro Duo, MS Pro (MG), MS Pro Duo (MG) and TransFlash.

The plug and play device requires no driver under Windows ME, 2000 and XP, Mac OS 8.6 or higher and Linux. Download speeds of up to 480Mb/s are available, with files transferred by simple drag and drop.

No external power supply is required and the card reader comes with a 1m USB type A male (for computer end) to type B mini male (card reader end).

The card reader is covered by a full year warranty.
