Thin film, wire bondable, multi-tap resistor chip

VISHAY, represented by Braemac, has announced the release of the new MTR and MTT series of thin film, wire bondable, multi-tap resistor chips that simplify the design and trimming of hybrid circuits while providing good film stability over time and temperature.

The resistor chips are suitable for use in hybrid circuits in a variety of military, medical, instrumentation, and other applications.

The MTR chip features up to 11 taps, while the MTT has up to 19 taps. The chips provide wire bondable construction that allows designers to select desired resistor values with total available resistance ranging from 1.1kW to 275kW.

The devices feature an oxidized silicon substrate, providing good power dissipation. They are available with aluminium or gold bonding pads.

The devices can help simplify the design and trimming of hybrid circuits and also enable manufacturers to purchase fewer components and reduce component costs by using the same chip model in a variety of applications

They feature a stable, self-passivating tantalum nitride resistor and have been 100% electrically tested and visually inspected to MIL-PRF-38534.

These devices are suitable for use with other Vishay products including chip resistors and capacitors, as well as other hybrid components.
