The RIDA®QUICK Gliadin allergen test kit is a dip stick allergen test kit used to determine the existence of gliadin / gluten in gluten-free food and beverages or to check surfaces for cross-contamination. The RIDA®QUICK Gliadin is an allergen test kit based on an immuno chromatographic test for the detection of gluten in foodstuff.

Differentiating Features
The RIDA®QUICK Gliadin allergen test kit detects gluten of wheat, barley and rye.
Celiac disease is a permanent intolerance to wheat gluten and the related prolamins from rye and barley (the prolamin protein fraction of wheat is named gliadin. Gluten is found naturally in wheat, rye, barley and oats and also used as an additive because of its physicochemical properties. If a gluten-free diet is followed, the symptoms of celiac disease will resolve. The Codex Alimentarius currently defines as "gluten-free foods" those foods whose gluten concentration is < 200 ppm, a 20ppm level is in discussion.The monoclonal antibody in the RIDA®QUICK Gliadin allergen test kit detects gluten of wheat, barley and rye. The sensitivity is below 10 ppm gliadin. An allergen test kit user can differentiate very low concentrations using 0, 2.5, 5 and 10ppm standard solutions.
